PC Repair Center was started on a simple idea: technology repair should be honest, accessible, and customer-focused. Tired of seeing big-box chains and pop-up "tech" services overcharge and underdeliver, we set out to build a local alternative — a place where neighbors could get straight answers, fair pricing, and real follow-through if something goes wrong.
We opened in Oceanside, then expanded to Encinitas as North County referrals grew, and most recently opened our Carlsbad location to serve customers along El Camino Real and the Carlsbad coast. Three shops, one team, the same standard at every counter.
A Warranty Policy You Can Actually Use
We publish our warranty terms in plain language so there are no surprises. If something we worked on fails inside the warranty window, bring it back — we make it right.
60-Day Workmanship Warranty
Standard on every repair. Covers the work we performed and any parts we installed. If the same issue returns within 60 days, we re-do the work at no additional labor cost.
1-Year New Build Warranty
Custom-built PCs come with a full 1-year warranty covering parts and labor on the assembled system. Individual components also carry their own multi-year manufacturer warranties.
Manufacturer Pass-Through
For component-level repairs (SSDs, RAM, GPUs, PSUs, batteries) we pass through the manufacturer's warranty and help facilitate any RMA if a part fails outside our window.

Free Pre-Check at the Counter
Drop in to any of our three shops and we'll do a no-obligation visual inspection and basic boot test on the spot. Most pre-checks take 5–15 minutes and result in a clear next step — sometimes that's a written quote, sometimes it's 'this is a quick fix,' sometimes it's 'this isn't worth repairing and here's why.'
Deeper Diagnostic (If Needed)
If the issue requires testing under load, component swapping, or boot-level analysis, we run a full $69 diagnostic. That fee is credited toward the repair the moment you approve it — so a real fix costs you nothing extra. If you choose not to repair, the $69 covers the technician time.
Written Quote Before Any Billable Work
We send a clear written quote covering parts, labor, and an honest ETA. No work begins without your written approval. If we discover something new during the repair, we stop and get re-approval before continuing — your repair never spirals beyond the original quote.
Expert Repair With Quality Parts
Our certified technicians do the work using quality parts, anti-static handling, and proper testing. Most common repairs (tune-ups, virus removal, SSD/RAM upgrades, power supplies, software work) finish same-day at our Oceanside and Encinitas walk-in shops.
60-Day Warranty + Walk-Through
On pickup we walk you through what we did, what to watch for, and how the warranty works. Every repair is backed by a 60-day workmanship warranty — if the same issue returns, bring it back and we make it right at no additional labor cost.
Your Data Privacy Is Not Negotiable
When your computer comes to our bench, your files come with it — and we treat that as a privilege, not a right. We do not browse personal files, photos, messages, browser history, or business documents during a repair.
If a repair requires us to copy or migrate data, we get your written approval first and use a dedicated, encrypted workstation. For sensitive business work — legal, medical, financial — we provide a written confidentiality agreement on request.
Our Data-Handling Standards

- ✓ We don't open your photos, documents, or browser history. If we have to access a file to test, we'll tell you.
- ✓ Default practice is data preservation. We only wipe or clean-install with your explicit written approval.
